One day, as she was changing the quilt cover for her 3-year-old, he expressed his reluctance: "Mom, I don't want the tiger quilt." When she inquired why, he confided, "I'm afraid the tiger will bite me."
Finding his imagination delightful, she was inspired to create a book where the quilt patterns come to life. In this whimsical world, her child witnesses tigers in battle, birds soaring overhead, ventures through the vastness of space (which he finds too daunting), and observes monkeys rushing in playful lines.
